Frequently asked questions

How much louder can it go?

Up to +20 dB, about four times as loud to the ear. Past the point where the loudest peak reaches full scale, a limiter holds the peaks down so the sound gets louder without crackling.

What does Maximise do?

It measures the loudest peak of the selection and sets the gain so that peak lands at -1 dB: as loud as possible with no distortion and no limiter needed.
